Limited Edition Artist Collaboration: FIELDS x Chris Soal

The General Jacket has a tailored cut and is constructed in a heavyweight combed Cotton Twill. It features front angled welt pockets, a single inner breast (secret) pocket, and adjustment tabs on the sleeves and waistband to ensure a perfect fit. Its lining is 100% Cotton Jacquard.

The dreamlike artwork on the lining of this jacket was created in collaboration with Chris Soal (b. 1994). He is a South African artist whose critically acclaimed sculptural practice has been shaped by a Johannesburg upbringing. Now based in Cape Town, his work has garnered international recognition for its innovative engagement with materiality, perception, and place. Through his use of discarded and mundane ephemera, such as toothpicks, bottle caps, sandpaper and other industrial materials, the artist intuitively develops the familiar to the point of the uncanny.

Chris Soal's collaborative piece for FIELDS, titled Surface Tension, allows one to step back and view with patience a scene, imagining and dreaming.

We ship within South Africa and internationally, directly to your door via FedEx, UPS, and trusted courier partners. Orders are prepared and dispatched from our Cape Town based distribution centre within one business day after your order is placed.

International Orders (outside South Africa)
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the product(s) in your order. All applicable local VAT, state taxes, and country-specific import duties are included in the total you pay to FIELDS at checkout and are reflected in the shipping cost. There are no additional charges on delivery. 

International delivery takes 4–8 business days.

For United States orders using UPS Economy, orders are dispatched every Tuesday, with delivery taking 10–14 business days from the Tuesday following your order date.
