Refund policy

 

We hope you are happy with your FIELDS purchase. If for any reason you would like to return an item, the following policies apply.

Items purchased from FIELDS may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase or delivery provided that:

  • the item is unworn and unwashed
  • all original tags are attached
  • the item is returned with proof of purchase
  • the item is in its original condition

Shipping costs for returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. Online orders may also be exchanged or returned to one of our stores.

1. Change-of-mind returns

Refunds are not offered for change-of-mind returns. These may be exchanged for another item/s or store credit will be issued in the form of a gift card. Store credit issued for returns is valid for 36 months (3 years).

Returns for store credit (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of your eligibility for store credit. If you are approved, then your return will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied via store credit/gift card, within seven business days. In the absence of a receipt (physical or digital), we will exchange the items or issue a gift card to the equivalent value at the discretion of store management.

2. Defective Goods

We design garments to be worn for years. If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to make it right. If an item is found to be defective within six months of purchase, customers may choose a repair, replacement, or refund, as provided for under the CPA. This does not apply to normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by improper care.

Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received your refund yet, please first check your inbox and spam folder or review your bank account again.

If you still cannot locate the refund, please contact your credit card provider, as it may take some time for the refund to be officially processed and reflected. You may also wish to contact your bank, as there is often a processing period before a refund appears in your account.

3. Sale items (if applicable) 

Items purchased on sale may be returned for store credit only, provided they meet the return conditions above. Items purchased from the Sale Rail, which have pre disclosed imperfections, are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged, unless the incorrect item has been given or under exceptional circumstances. 

4. Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased, you will receive a gift card for the value of your return. Once the returned item has been received, the gift card will be sent to you.

If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser. The gift giver will therefore be notified of the return.

5. If you wish to cancel your order:

(a) You can notify us by email to hello@fieldsstore.com or call us on +27 (0)73 657 8202 before we have dispatched the goods to you or

(b) If the goods have already been dispatched, you may cancel your order by returning the goods to us in accordance with the clauses set out below

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, and if Fields collected the item, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75 or R1300, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
