FIELDS x Shakil Solanki Tote in Cotton

We've translated our collaboration with artist, Shakil Solanki, into a pure cotton jacquard weave tote. The artwork has been engineered to wrap around the bag. Perfect for a trip to the shops, as a carry-all, or as a laptop bag.

This is a collaboration with Cape Town-based artist, Shakil Solanki. A painter and printmaker, Solanki's distinctive style juxtaposes painterly lines with intricate motifs and draws on classical Eastern art. Often rendered in shades of blue, his work explores the duality of queers intimacy, myth, and desire within the setting of a secret garden.

His piece for FIELDS is a frame from the 2015 Luca Guadagnino film, 'The Bigger Splash', which was inspired by a David Hockney painting. Solanki said of his artwork, "The ephemeral moment is protracted, vitality and emotion delineated in crystal focus".
