This month, FIELDS hosted the second installment of our Meet the Artist series, celebrating the intersection of craftsmanship, artistry, and contemporary menswear. Held at our boutique at the V&A Waterfront, the event brought together creatives and patrons alike, to experience a unique collaboration with renowned South African artist Michael Taylor. With the help of House & Leisure, South Africa’s leading lifestyle journal, our team presented an installation showcasing Taylor’s influence on a limited-edition collection featuring The General Jacket, the Hoodie in Cotton, the Wool and Mohair Sweater, and a special woven tote bag.

The installation, styled by House & Leisure, featured a curated display of Michael Taylor's work, complemented by Gwyn Studio vases (@gwyn_studio) and beautifully crafted beaded palm trees by Bros on the Road (@brosontheroad). This thoughtfully arranged environment underscored FIELDS' dedication to creativity and quality, turning the boutique into a true homage to South African artistry. The event encapsulated FIELDS’ commitment to creating pieces that honor artistry and storytelling, all while weaving South African craftsmanship into every thread.
