Description

This classic shirt has a tailored fit and is cleanly finished with French seams. Made from a mid-weight (220gsm) blend of BCI cotton and Tencel, this yarn-dyed shirt has a soft handle and can be worn buttoned up for a formal feel, or unbuttoned over a tee as a light jacket. It features a French placket, mitred cuffs and two button-through breast pockets.

Fibres & Origins

This shirt is crafted in Southern Africa from a blend of 50% BCI Cotton and 50% Tencel.

Our cotton is sourced, processed, dyed and woven in Southern Africa, showcasing the quality our factory partners bring through their manufacturing. Regular collaboration with these partners is an integral part of the FIELDS process. This cotton is manufactured according to the guidelines of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a global not-for-profit organisation and largest cotton sustainability program in the world.This organisation aims to train and educate small farms in adopting more environmental, social, economic and sustainable production practices. This includes minimising the negative effects of fertilisers and pesticides, learning to care for the health of water and soil, as well as ensuring safe conditions that support the well-being of those working on these BCI-compliant farms.

Tencel is made from natural, raw material wood sourced from responsibly managed forests and produced with 50% less carbon emissions and water consumption than generic wood source fibers. This fabric is naturally soft and smooth, durable, breathable, and moisture-wicking.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship within South Africa and internationally, directly to your door via FedEx, UPS, and trusted courier partners. Orders are prepared and dispatched from our Cape Town based distribution centre within one business day after your order is placed.

International Orders (outside South Africa)
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the product(s) in your order. All applicable local VAT, state taxes, and country-specific import duties are included in the total you pay to FIELDS at checkout and are reflected in the shipping cost. There are no additional charges on delivery. 

International delivery takes 4–8 business days.

For United States orders using UPS Economy, orders are dispatched every Tuesday, with delivery taking 10–14 business days from the Tuesday following your order date.

South Africa Orders
Enjoy free shipping on orders over R250. Orders under R250 incur a flat shipping fee of R75. Delivery within South Africa typically takes 1–4 business days.
