A gentle breeze accompanied the sun as it cast a warm glow over Cape Town, infusing the day with a spirited energy. This made for the perfect backdrop as we gathered our dearest friends of FIELDS, and the talented artist Andile Dyalvane to celebrate his work and collaboration for Collection 10.

As we savoured specialty coffee from our neighbours at Espresso Lab, we explored the historic Old Biscuit Mill space and home to FIELDS HQ. The event was a visual feast, showcasing essential FIELDS garments and unveiling the much-anticipated pre-releases from Collection 11, featuring 1kg knits – perfect for the approaching winter chill.

Mikael Hanan and Andile Dyalvane sharing stories of this collaboration coming to life.
Highlighting the day was Andile’s opening talk, which began with his daily ritual of Ukuphahla, a practice that invites positive energy and helps him achieve a state of flow. Andile shared insights into his creative process, revealing how his spirituality and ancestral guidance shape his work. His journey begins with a dream, which he translates into drawings before bringing his sculptures to life. His words resonated deeply, emphasising the importance of self-belief, authenticity, and trusting one’s intuition to unlock creativity and create magic.

FIELDS founder, CEO and creative director, Mikael Hanan, also shared his appreciation and closed the event with a heartfelt moment of gratitude. As Andile would say, CAMAGU – a blessing and expression of thanks.
