This mid weight, soft round neck sweater is knitted from a Merino Wool and Kid Mohair blend, with a detailed design covering the body and sleeve byJohannesburg-based artist Lebohang Kganye.
Kganye forms a new generation of contemporary South African photographers. Her work explores the response to loss and mourning through the eyes of the individual, history, language and culture. Kganye uses archives to create fictional history to merge illusive characters with “real” characters in a new universe. This is seen and translated in to the piece she created for FIELDS this season, having taking old photographs and creating a new moment of connection.
