We've translated our collaboration with artist Buhle Nkalashe to a woven cotton tote bag. Versatile in use from your weekend market shop to your daily laptop bag.
South Africa-born Buhle Nkalashe is an independent visual artist known for his painting and mixed media. His work revolves around the growth of African people through design, exploring how traditional patterns have evolved and contribute to a more contemporary style, also standing as a symbol of identity. In this collaboration for FIELDS, Buhle draws inspiration from another one of his works entitled, 'Brewing'. The central figure is focused while in thought, lingering on those special moments before he leaps onto the stage to be part of his change.
