We've translated our collaboration with artist, Buhle Nkalashe, into a woven cotton tote bag. Versatile in its use as your daily laptop bag to your weekend market shop, this tote will add a touch of art to your everyday life.
Catherine Holtzhausen is a Cape Town-based collage artist and illustrator whose mixed media works embody an optimistic view of the world. Her figures and botanical jungles celebrate a bountiful existence crafted from multiple print and marking methods that evolve through a process of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction. Much like her collage papers which shift and develop, Catherine's work for FIELDS aims to inspire the same notion of introspection; growth and improvement. This piece pays homage to those bravely challenging hegemonic discourses and replacing them with movements of compassion.
