We've translated our collaboration with Johannesburg-based artist Lebohang Kganye to a woven cotton shopper. Versatile use from your weekend market shop to your laptop bag.
Kganye forms a new generation of contemporary South African photographers. Her work explores the response to loss and mourning through the eyes of the individual, history, language and culture. Kganye uses archives to create fictional history to merge illusive characters with “real” characters in a new universe. This is seen and translated in to the piece she created for FIELDS this season, having taking old photographs and creating a new moment of connection.
